champtrophy As Meat loaf once said "2 Outta 3 Ain't Bad" and in this case it is Championships. The Falcons had another great season this year, extending their win streak to 76 in the WCAC, Winning the WCAC Championship for the 4th straight season and Finishing 2nd in the City Championships. Most coaches, players and fans would say that is great and start preparing for next season, not the Falcons as they continued their quest for their 4th MD/DC Private School Championship.

What a Treat! Falcons capture 4th straight WCAC Crown

Print PDF

falcon-gorgedAs the fans came to support the Falcons against Paul VI on Halloween they did not know that the Falcons had a treat instored for them. What a treat it was, The Falcons captured their 4th straight WCAC Crown. More impressively, The Falcons have extended their WCAC winning streak to 76 games! The Paul VI Panthers had a tremendous season as well (14-2), with its only 2 losses coming from the Falcons. The Falcons won the WCAC crown in 3 games 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 and was led by Megan Donohoe (14 Kills) and Jenna Campbell (11 Kills).

Coach Kart was quoted as saying "I feel like we are finally coming together and we're kind of peaking" and thats what the fans of the Falcons want to hear as they head to the City Championship on Monday 11/2 to take on Flint Hill (6 PM @ Maret). This is a rematch of last years City Championship were the Falcons came away the winner but Flint Hill has taken that as their motivation and earlier this season beat the Falcons now it is the Falcons turn to return the favor and a great time to do it as well.

So don't forget Monday 11/2, 6 PM @ Maret - The Falcons vs Flint Hill!!!

The Falcons soar in season opener

Print PDF

The season has been flying by. It seems impossible that the program is closing the last week of competition this week with Senior Night against Paul VI on Tuesday, October 20 and then closing out the regular season with a match at home versus Holy Cross on Thursday, October 22.

This season has been full of thrills and the Falcons continue their streak of WCAC victories - not losing to a WCAC opponent since 2005 and not losing at home to a WCAC opponent since 2004. It will be interesting to see how the regular season ends. Stay tuned.
